After qualifying, I worked for Alliance Psychological Services as part of their Child and Family Team.
Having gained five years experience at Alliance, in 2016 I left to begin working as a private, self-employed counsellor.
Since then, I have worked with schools, post-adoption agencies, solicitors, local authorities and private clients.
With adults, I have been working in a GP surgery for two years.
Additionally, I am currently seeing clients with a large NHS IAPT provider.
I have an extensive background working with children, adolescents, young people and adults with autism, which has been enhanced by my work with a large, local autism charity. I have also worked to support parents of autistic children.
I also have a background working with children, adolescents, young people and parents with post-adoption difficulties.
I have experience working with children, adolescents, young people and adults
in areas such as:
- Loss and bereavement (Children and Adults)
- Low self-esteem and confidence
- Family conflict
- Generalised Anxiety
- Anger issues
- LGBT issues
- Self Harm
I also have experience of working within the school system with issues such as:
- Peer problems
- Pressure of exams
