Butterfly Counselling Services provides a safe, non-judgemental, and structured space for clients to help them explore their feelings, thoughts, and behaviours.

Each adult is unique and because of this we integrate various therapeutic models including person-centred therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), EMDR, transactional analysis, gestalt therapy, mindfulness.

Our therapists can help you understand why you react the way you do in different situations. They will also help you explore your feelings and thoughts around these difficult situations.

Your experiences surrounding your issues may be from recent experiences or past experiences. Together with your counsellor, you can explore your issues and what is stopping you from reaching your full potential.

Our therapists can help you with:

  • All forms of anxiety and the symptoms linked to it, for example, nausea, sickness, avoiding situations, angry outbursts, struggling with focus and concentration, sleep disturbances, nightmares, sense of dread, body pains associated with anxiety
  • Panic attacks
  • Depression and symptoms linked to it, for example, feelings of sadness/guilt/hopelessness/helplessness/irritability, low mood, lack of motivation
  • Grief and loss
  • All forms of abuse (Physical/Emotional/Sexual)
  • Social interaction and communication skills with people.
  • Emotional awareness
  • PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder)
  • Traumas/Complex trauma
  • Phobias
  • Sleeping issues
  • Coping strategies and tools for navigating our neurotypical world
  • Transitions – College/University/New job/New home
  • Family issues – For example, family breakdowns, parents’ separation or divorce
  • Exam stress
  • Work-related issues

Each session is 50 minutes.
